I'm going to let this post be the post of few words, I have a lot to say about Omaha but I feel the photos will speak for it and I always try to tell a story with photos so hopefully that happens.
Some places of interest or if you ever get to Omaha I HIGHLY recommend (and most are free or super affordable) Heartland of America Park/ConAgra Park, Lewis and Clark Landing and The Missouri River Trail Bridge (which is an AMAZING structure and you can be in Nebraska and Iowa at ONE time) connected to my favorite area (an probably one of my favorite places on earth) The Old Market cobblestone streets, boutique shopping, horsdrawn carriage rides, outdoor cafe's under cafe lights, taverns and micro breweries, wine and cigar bars, live music, creatives, and antique stores galore. This is my happy place.
And right up around the corner is the Orpheum Theatre, Children's Museum and the very cool Omaha Zoo. We frequent all of these places while visiting. If you get a chance to visit Omaha, don't rule it out, especially if you like outdoors, shopping, arts, music and culture, everything I just said is pretty much what we LOVE to do, I guess Omaha is very "me" and actually (for a country boy) very Jason and our kids love it so it's very "US". Our family (the 4 of us) had even started a plan on how we ourselves could move to Omaha, true story.
I don't work for Omaha PR or anything, I just really dig this city.
We also celebrated Easter there so we colored eggs, had an egg hunt, and attempted (keyword) to fly some kites. The beginning of the post is when we were still home and the boys found their Easter baskets so they could have treats for the ride!
