Best day

This summer has really been the best- we now have Cooper and Teag is at the age that he really enjoys and appreciates the fun things we can do. Although the summer was so hot and miserable- this particular day was perfect. We made the best of it and spontaneously took off to the Dells. I am so glad I scaled back on weddings this year, we got to do a lot of fun things with the boys.  Teag is so fun to watch as we do these things- his eyes light up. Being parents is the coolest thing we have ever done.

We started out at the Wisconsin Dells Deer Park- yep- it's still there, this is one of the places I remember my grandparents bringing me to the most, I am so glad its still here for my kids, although I have to wonder who loved it more? Jason or the boys?

Poor deer, they don't know what he would like to do to them, maybe he should have chose a different shirt than under armour HUNT?

Teag was not afraid of the deer at all, he is getting so big and grown up!

Run for your life deer!

Mini Coop

"Look! A chicken for Bama"

Lunch with my Dad and at my fav spot- High Rock Cafe

Mini Coop and Grandpa Lance- He has a little influence with Cooper's name

Definitley not a food photog- but this salad was off the hook

Jason caught Teag and I goofing around- I didn't even notice he was doing it, love these!

Teag's & Cooper's first Mini-Golf adventure, Teag loved it, Cooper slept through it

Serious-legit-no lie- not set up- Teag got a hole in one!

On the way home we stopped at Burr Oak Winery- where we got married almost 5 years ago, it's still my favorite wine ever, we're in the case club

Jason and I have been big fans of the winery long before we got married, I still love that place the same as I did the first time we stepped in it.

Camp

We LOVE to camp. We don't go nearly as much as much as we think we will or would like to. The fact is between our 2 jobs, a million summer parties, my photography schedule and trying to maintain our home- we don't really have a lot of time. But we are sure to (at the very least) do our Annual camping trip on Memorial and Labor Day weekends. We are so excited to make this a family tradition. We buddied up with our camping neighbors and they were so great, they are veteran campers and had all sorts of fun and games plus Tess brought out a photobook of all their camping trips- immediately Heidi and I were inspired to be sure to take lots of camping pictures to treasure always, (as if I wasn't going to take pictures anyway) So starting Labor Day weekend 2012 we are starting an Annual Rosenow/Stephenson Family camping trip and photobook. The first few photos are my sad display of Memorial weekend Photos..pretty scarce but I had a much smaller baby then.

Daddy Daycare

I Love this photo- it really sums up our experience, all our boys

Labor Day Weekend 2012- Leon Valley Campground

Our neighbors

One of many dance offs

Beyblades- isnt Teag too young for that?

While Teag naps Dad & Coop sneak off to the pool

Adult Jenga- buy a Jenga set, write crazy stuff to do on each piece...great party game

Ice cream and a cheesy smile

We don't just stand in perfect sun flare like this- I was teaching Jason how to find the light..not bad huh?

Big T and Mini C

This was the moment we knew Teag was "older" he enjoyed the full camping experience, Tyler (5) played so great with Teag (2 3/4) they played on this table for at least an hour and were on a "mission" they were fake shooting aliens in the sky and taking all of us prisoners and making us sit at the table...aka.."mission office", Jason said to me" I remember those days, nothing better", he was right, who doesn't remember those days

Love this

Yep- we grilled homemade pizza's

The kids made ALL the pizzas- they were delicious and they loved it

Dominic aka Dommy aka Bubba

Proof the 5D MK III can shoot almost in pitch black, this was 10 pm I was walking Coop to sleep and not all that close to the fire

Golf cart parade!

Teag got a new bike- early birthday present- who can ride bike in snow??

Dominic (just 2), Cooper (7 months), Tyler (5), Teag (2 3/2)
kickball- even Coop played

Our impromptu walk turned into an all out nature hike

REALLY glad I threw my camera in the bottom of the stroller, we didn't expect what would happen

Whoa. We didn't realize this was here, it was awesome and the trails just kept going and going and forking off  again and again

Not going to lie- it got creepy, almost 2 hours later, in the woods, 4 kids, no cell phone and lost in the Blair Witch Project Forest, it was dark despite what the photos look like.

I think my imagination got away from me, we eventually found our way back by seeing a light of a camper and doing our best to get close to it. It got a little "iffy" for me because Cooper was with- not blanket, no nuk, no bottle, we had no flashlights, phones, no one knew where we were- like I said- we were going for a walk around the campground and ended up an hour deep in the "creepy forest", I would revisit it again with my cell phone in hand and lots of daylight!

It was a great weekend, we will are looking forward to this every year!
